Civil Engineering is one of the two departments currently housed by ULK Polytechnic Institute. This department comprises two options, namely Construction Technology and Land Surveying Engineering. These two options enable a graduate to provide construction related solutions upon reaching the market place.
As widely known, the world needs technicians in engineering who render construction services which turn the world into a better and nice looking place.
Construction Technology (COT)
ULK Polytechnic Institute launched the option of Construction Technology to train future technicians engineering who will be serving not only Rwanda but also the region and the world at large. With construction skills one draws from this option, there is no shadow doubt that he/she can be among the technicians of different projects which are related to construction.
Land Surveying Engineering (LSE)
Land survey is another option that falls under the department of Civil Engineering. With the number of residents growing in many countries, there is a need for well trained engineers to help measure the land and sort out issues which have to do with it. Constructing roads, bridges, houses, etc. is something good but the land on which everything is constructed has to be well identified and tested. And this is the task of a land technician who received proper training.
